Aging Ethel and Norman Thayer return to their beloved lake house on Golden Pond for the summer. Their estranged daughter, her new boyfriend, and his son soon arrive unexpectedly. Through humor and heartache the family endeavors to reconnect, bridge generations, and find common ground before its too late.
